Terms of Sale

These Terms of Sale apply to purchases made from Milla Objets. By placing an order, you agree to the terms set out below.

About our pieces

Milla Objets sells vintage, antique and pre-owned furniture, lighting and decorative objects. Many pieces have had a previous life and may show signs of age, wear, restoration, patina, surface marks, fading, minor movement, historic repairs or other characteristics consistent with age and use.

We make every effort to describe each item accurately and to show its condition clearly through photographs and written descriptions. Any notable wear, damage or imperfections known to us will be included in the listing where possible.

Please review all photographs, measurements and descriptions carefully before purchasing. If you require further images, videos, measurements or condition details, please contact us before placing your order.

Measurements

All measurements are approximate and may vary slightly. Please ensure the item will fit through doorways, staircases, lifts and into the intended space before purchasing. Milla Objets is not responsible where an item cannot be delivered due to access restrictions.

Colours and images

We aim to represent colours and finishes as accurately as possible. However, colours may vary depending on screen settings, lighting and photography. Natural materials, vintage finishes and aged surfaces may also vary across the piece.

Orders and payment

Orders are subject to availability and are only confirmed once payment has been received in full. We reserve the right to cancel and refund an order if an item is no longer available, has been listed incorrectly, or if there has been a pricing or stock error.

Prices are listed in pounds sterling. Where VAT applies, it will be treated in accordance with the applicable UK VAT rules. Some second-hand, vintage or antique items may be sold under the VAT margin scheme, in which case VAT is not separately itemised on the invoice.

Delivery

Delivery is arranged either directly by Milla Objets, by a trusted courier, or by collection where agreed.

Delivery costs, timeframes and arrangements may vary depending on the size, weight, fragility and location of the item. For larger furniture or fragile pieces, a bespoke delivery quote may be required.

The buyer is responsible for providing accurate delivery details and for ensuring suitable access is available. Any failed delivery, redelivery, storage or additional courier charges caused by incorrect information or access issues may be charged to the buyer.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivery is to the entrance of the property only. If room-of-choice delivery, assembly or specialist handling is required, this must be agreed before delivery and may incur an additional charge.

Collection

Where collection is agreed, the buyer is responsible for collecting the item within the agreed timeframe. Items must be collected by appointment only. Once collected by the buyer or their appointed courier, responsibility for the item passes to the buyer.

Returns and cancellations

If you change your mind, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your item to request a return.

Items must be returned in the same condition as received, unused, undamaged and with any original packaging where applicable.

The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and for ensuring the item is safely and appropriately packaged for return. We can help arrange a trusted courier where needed, but all return courier and packaging costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is faulty or not as described.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item, or proof that it has been returned, provided it is received back in the condition it was sent.

If an item is returned damaged, used, altered, repaired or not in the condition in which it was supplied, we reserve the right to make a reasonable deduction from the refund.

Faulty or not as described items

Please contact us as soon as possible if you believe an item is faulty or not as described.

Due to the nature of vintage and antique goods, age-related wear, patina, minor marks, historic repairs, fading, movement, surface irregularities and signs of previous use are not considered faults where they have been shown, described or are reasonably consistent with the age and nature of the item.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Damage in transit

Please inspect your item as soon as possible after delivery. If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photographs of the item, the packaging and any visible damage.

Please retain all packaging until the matter has been reviewed, as this may be required for any courier claim.

Electrical items and lighting

Vintage and antique lighting may require inspection, rewiring, fitting or installation by a qualified electrician before use. Unless expressly stated otherwise, lighting is sold as a decorative vintage item and may not have been recently tested or rewired.

Milla Objets is not responsible for installation, electrical testing or suitability once the item has been supplied, unless this has been specifically agreed in writing.

International orders

International shipping may be possible depending on the item and destination. Please contact us for a bespoke quote before purchasing.

Any import duties, taxes, customs charges, clearance fees or local charges are the responsibility of the buyer. Milla Objets is not responsible for delays caused by customs or import procedures.

Use of items

The buyer is responsible for ensuring that any item purchased is suitable for their intended use, setting and environment. Vintage and antique items may not meet modern manufacturing standards and should be used with appropriate care.

Limitation of liability

Milla Objets is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, delays, access issues, installation costs or third-party costs arising from the purchase, delivery or use of an item.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Intellectual property

All photographs, descriptions, styling, branding and website content remain the property of Milla Objets and may not be copied, reproduced or used without permission.
