A monumental vintage rug, attributed to the Aït Ouaouzguite weaving tradition handwoven in predominantly wool and measuring an impressive 430 × 245 cm.

Densely worked linear bands alternate with geometric panels of diamonds, lozenges and abstract motifs. Deep indigo and navy blue are set against muted red, warm ivory, sand and ochre.

The textile combines flat weaving with raised, knotted and supplementary decorative work, creating a subtle relief across the surface.

Measurements exclude any remaining loose fringe.

Condition

Good vintage condition with wear and irregularities consistent with age, use and handwoven construction. The tasselled or fringed finish has been removed from one end. The remaining fringe shows irregularity and age-related wear. There is also a localised faded or discoloured mark, as photographed. Variations in weave, surface texture, colour and edge alignment are characteristic of a handmade vintage textile.

Courier deliveries are usually completed within 7–14 days. We will contact you after purchase to arrange a suitable date. Please tell us about stairs, restricted access, parking restrictions or any assistance required, as these may affect delivery.

We hope you are delighted with your purchase. If you are a UK consumer buying online, you may cancel most orders by contacting info@milladecor.com within 14 days after the day you receive the item. After notifying us, the item must be returned within a further 14 days and kept in the condition in which it was received, allowing for reasonable inspection.

Unless an item is faulty or not as described, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning it. Many furniture pieces cannot be returned by ordinary post. Return-courier costs are generally in the same range as the delivery charge shown at checkout, although access, distance, packing and specialist handling can change the amount. We can help arrange a trusted courier and will confirm the cost before collection.

We will issue the refund within 14 days of receiving the returned item, or receiving evidence that it has been sent back. The refund will include the item price and the cost of our least-expensive standard outbound delivery option. We may reduce the refund if handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the item causes a loss in value.

Vintage and antique pieces naturally show age, wear and previous use. These characteristics are described and photographed as accurately as possible and do not affect your statutory rights. If an item arrives damaged, faulty or materially different from its description, please contact us promptly with photographs so that we can resolve it.

Studio collection is complimentary and available by appointment from our East London studio. We will contact you when your order is ready and arrange a collection time.
