An evocative mid-century abstract expressionist oil painting that masterfully balances dynamic form with a rich, brooding palette. The artwork depicts a highly stylised, fractured figure rendered in bold strokes of crimson red, deep navy blue, and graphic black outlines, set against an intensely textured, impasto background of warm ochres and dark umber.

 

The painting is housed in a mid-century wooden frame, which features an elaborate ribbed texture finished in a subtle, aged gilt wash over a warm gesso base.

Overall condition: Excellent vintage condition.

Artwork surface: The oil paint layers are stable with beautiful, intentional impasto texture intact. No visible paint loss or major cracking.

Frame: Original mid-century frame shows minor age-related wear, light surface abrasions, and gentle patination to the gilt finish, adding to its authentic character.

We're happy to coordinate the return through our trusted courier. Please note that all associated shipping costs, including both outbound and return delivery, as well as any packaging, are the buyer's responsibility. Once your return has been received and inspected, refunds will be issued within 14 days.
