An iconic piece of mid-century architectural garden design: the “Handkerchief” or Mouchoir planter, designed by pioneering Swiss industrial designer Willy Guhl in the 1950s for Eternit. 

This example has a phenomenal, heavily weathered exterior patina, with natural moss, lichen growth and mineral deposits accumulated over decades of outdoor exposure.

Good vintage condition with character-rich weathering. The fibre cement structure is stable and solid. Authentic surface wear, minor nibbles along the raw edges, and heavy discolouration, moss, and lichen are consistent with an outdoor piece of this age and contribute to its collectible aesthetic. Includes the original factory-drilled drainage hole at the base. Please note one corner is chipped and missing its angular form.

We want you to love every piece you bring home. If for any reason you're not completely happy, we'll accept returns within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is returned in its original condition. We're happy to coordinate the return through our trusted courier. Please note that all associated shipping costs, including both outbound and return delivery, as well as any packaging, are the buyer's responsibility. If you have any questions about an item or would like additional photos before committing, please reach out. We'd much rather help you make the right decision upfront. Once your return has been received and inspected, refunds will be issued within 14 days.
