A monumental and richly textured original abstract oil painting on canvas, dominated by intense red, rust, burnt orange, deep brown, charcoal and smoky grey.

The large-scale composition is structured in distinct horizontal fields. The surface is particularly strong at close range, with layered and gestural applications of paint, areas of heavier texture, scraped passages and energetic linear marks. Repeated triangles emerge and disappear within the darker lower field, punctuated by flashes of orange, grey and red.

The work is unsigned and is offered in the manner of Peter Coviello on stylistic grounds only.

Presented in a dark-stained frame. 

At approximately 146 cm high, this is a substantial statement painting with considerable visual presence.

Condition

Good overall vintage condition. The painting has a deliberately heavily worked and highly textured surface, incorporating layered paint, gestural marks and areas of pronounced surface texture.

Occasional small surface marks and areas of wear consistent with an older work of this scale. Irregularities, raised areas and variations within the paint surface are largely inherent to the artist’s technique.

The dark frame displays age-related scuffs, rubbing and small surface marks, particularly around the outer edges and corners.

Courier deliveries are usually completed within 7–14 days. We will contact you after purchase to arrange a suitable date. Please tell us about stairs, restricted access, parking restrictions or any assistance required, as these may affect delivery.

We hope you are delighted with your purchase. If you are a UK consumer buying online, you may cancel most orders by contacting info@milladecor.com within 14 days after the day you receive the item. After notifying us, the item must be returned within a further 14 days and kept in the condition in which it was received, allowing for reasonable inspection.

Unless an item is faulty or not as described, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning it. Many furniture pieces cannot be returned by ordinary post. Return-courier costs are generally in the same range as the delivery charge shown at checkout, although access, distance, packing and specialist handling can change the amount. We can help arrange a trusted courier and will confirm the cost before collection.

We will issue the refund within 14 days of receiving the returned item, or receiving evidence that it has been sent back. The refund will include the item price and the cost of our least-expensive standard outbound delivery option. We may reduce the refund if handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the item causes a loss in value.

Vintage and antique pieces naturally show age, wear and previous use. These characteristics are described and photographed as accurately as possible and do not affect your statutory rights. If an item arrives damaged, faulty or materially different from its description, please contact us promptly with photographs so that we can resolve it.

Studio collection is complimentary and available by appointment from our East London studio. We will contact you when your order is ready and arrange a collection time.
