A substantial solid elm dining table by Milanese architect and designer Luigi Gorgoni, dating from the late 1970s or 1980s. It's of a generous scale and is a heavy piece!

The thick plank top is supported by four rectangular slab legs that pass through notched openings at the outer edges, leaving the joinery visible on the surface. Gently rounded ends temper the weight of the construction, and the 230 cm length offers comfortable seating for eight to ten people.

Dimensions

Length 230 cm
Width 89 cm
Height 76 cm

Condition

Excellent vintage condition with natural character and gentle wear consistent with age and use. The solid elm is structurally sound and very sturdy, with rich grain, knots, and an age-related patina. The top is free from major deep gouges or structural splits, and the exposed interlocking joints remain firm and stable. The surface has been lightly restored with organic wood wax.

Delivery charges are shown at checkout for eligible UK addresses.

Objects and small stools are delivered for £9.99 throughout the UK. Standard furniture is delivered by a trusted courier for £50 within our London delivery area or £75 elsewhere in England.

Due to their fragile and often irreplaceable nature, lighting pieces are delivered by a dedicated furniture or art courier rather than an ordinary parcel service. Courier delivery is £50 within our London delivery area or £75 elsewhere in England.

Large, heavy, multi-piece, stone, substantial glass and specialist pieces require an individual delivery quote. Please contact us with the item and delivery postcode before purchasing.

For furniture and lighting delivery to Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Highlands and islands, Europe and international destinations, please contact us before purchasing for a delivery quote.

Courier deliveries are usually completed within 7–14 days. We will contact you after purchase to arrange a suitable date. Please tell us about stairs, restricted access, parking restrictions or any assistance required, as these may affect delivery.

Unless an item is faulty or not as described, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning it. Many furniture pieces cannot be returned by ordinary post. Return-courier costs are generally in the same range as the delivery charge shown at checkout, although access, distance, packing and specialist handling can change the amount. We can help arrange a trusted courier and will confirm the cost before collection.

We will issue the refund within 14 days of receiving the returned item, or receiving evidence that it has been sent back. The refund will include the item price and the cost of our least-expensive standard outbound delivery option. We may reduce the refund if handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the item causes a loss in value.

Vintage and antique pieces naturally show age, wear and previous use. These characteristics are described and photographed as accurately as possible and do not affect your statutory rights. If an item arrives damaged, faulty or materially different from its description, please contact us promptly with photographs so that we can resolve it.
