Set of Four Danish Skønvirke-Style Carved Oak Dining Chairs, c.1930s
A matching set of four carved oak dining chairs with tall, slender ladder backs and three distinctive scalloped cross rails with repeated scale-like carving to the front legs.
Their form closely matches Danish Skønvirke chairs of the 1930s, drawing together Art Nouveau ornament and Arts and Crafts influences.
The four seats have been upholstered in Rose Uniacke Cotton Velvet in Logwood. Woven seat-support webbing is visible on the underside.
The four chairs are in good, solid structural condition. The oak shows the surface wear and natural patina expected of vintage furniture.
